Police Department Updates

  • Officer Naoroz: ~9% reduction in criminal activity YTD (122 to 103); COVID skewed some stats; lock car doors.

5th District and Maymont Updates

  • Parke Richeson: park hours extended to 7pm through October; spring/summer programming.

  • Stephanie Lynch: vaccinations (Phase 1b: 65+, essential workers, service industry); preregistration; three senior housing complexes fully vaccinated; Phase 2 sidewalks in FY 2022 budget ($430,000); speed enforcement Harrison/Colorado; photo speed ticketing coming; March 18 district town hall 6pm.

  • Justin Patterson: Treasurer’s report—spent $197.30; balance $3,807.75 (from $4,005.08); dues to Justin at 1805 Greenville.

  • Jackie and Cassi: Pump House Park project (since 2017)—volunteers welcome.

  • Mike Jones: candidate for House of Delegates—brief remarks.

  • Betsy Carr: General Assembly session highlights.
