Police Department Updates
Lieutenant Woo: crime continued to decrease; car thefts lead issue (three thefts; Texas Beach parking lot cameras installed); Texas Beach overall in good shape; RPD working with VCU on student education; keep calling in reports.
5th District and Maymont Updates
Parke Richeson: Maymont working on a Jim Crow era exhibit at the estate.
Amy Robins: RVA 311; Navy Hill report October 24 at St. Andrews; City Council candidate forum September 25 at Richmond City Democratic Committee; tax abatement brochures being fixed; lead paint program—contact Parker’s office.
Crystal (RRHA): Project Homes and Habitat—18 homes Phase 1 nearly complete; Kansas Street dedication in November; Phase 2 has 16 homes; volunteer via Habitat or Maymont Civic League Facebook.
