Police Department Updates

  • Lieutenant Woo: about seven car break-ins in Maymont, Randolph, and Byrd Park over the last month (small items/petty cash); possible link to Monroe Park closure to itinerant populations; home robberies on Meadow Street and a break-in on Texas Avenue. Frequent nighttime gunfire—tip: older silver four-door car; call police when gunfire is heard.

5th District and Maymont Updates

  • No separate city liaison report beyond items captured in general notes.

General Community Notes

    • Thanksgiving poem; minutes and treasurer report.
    • Maymont open house December 4, noon–5pm.
    • Red holiday bows: volunteers still interested in hanging bows.
    • Feed More: motion passed to donate $100 for Thanksgiving meals.
